The spectator

By Fabrice Poussin

The spectator

She gives a glimpse of intimacy to the eager audience
a statue so distant in the waves of her subtle motions
a butterfly on Mt Everest awakens from her dreams.

She speaks of distant lands and faraway dreams
inhaling the inspiration Lancelot wrote on the old parchment
the air whispers adventures of knights, giants and witches.

A word in chalk, a quick pirouette, and a deep thought
electricity floats igniting a spark in the unsuspecting depths
drawn into the waltz immemorial the magic has begun.

The girl struggles dancing between childhood and expectations
an aura, her faithful companion, protects her gentle essence
while she opens the doors to the brilliance of her golden birth.

Consciousness drifts into a night light as a summer's eve
softly cradling the imagination of a lone spectator in awe
prisoner of a palpable bliss at the scale of luminescent galaxies.
