First Apollo Mission
The firmament was never flown before
like sea never sailed before
leaves no wake behind it
an arrow-like chariot takes to strike,
to fly, to leave the big bow
dancing in the wind,
Minerva blows his ship to space
Muses conduct the constellation
Apollo pilots the golden chariot
Dante’s on his own Apollo mission
his journey's a flight upwards
and souls in Heaven
are fairer than Earth.
