In the late fifteenth century, Europeans discovered not one but two continents filled with undocumented aliens. Tens of millions of people with no papers proving who they were or that they had a right to be there. Collectively, the Europeans sighed and began the sad, difficult work of removing the illegals. It would take centuries -- indeed, it continues to this day.
