Dianne Post graduated from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BA in Correctional Administration, from California State University San Jose with an MA in Psychology and from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a JD in 1979. She has worked in corrections, with disabled persons in community placement, and as a lawyer for 32 years. She represented battered women and children in family law cases for twenty years and then began working abroad in 1998 doing international human rights work on gender-based violence. Her international work has taken her to fourteen countries and she has lived in six.
She has published four law review articles, dozens of articles that have appeared in publications in five countries, and won awards for four of her short stories -- and even for a poem. She is at work on a story about her experiences living and working in Russia.
