Returning to writing after having spent most of a lifetime doing other things. Original wife, two children, five grandchildren. Have matriculated through almost all of my earlier vices and sins (if it's other than hard drugs, I've probably attempted it). A pleasantly haphazard life.
Have lived and worked in Germany, Finland, Japan and England. Have been to maybe 70 countries on business. Speak German, French and (very bad) Japanese. Picked up a B.S. (Illinois) and an MBA(New York University) along the way.
Post-university got paid to be a Naval officer specializing in diving and bomb-disarming; a reporter for the Providence, Rhode Island Journal; a foreign intelligence specialist (interpret that however you like); and an international sales and marketing executive for two pulp and paper companies.
Have circled back to my first ambition, put away when people kept telling me that I'd starve as a writer. My focus is on fantasy, science fiction and folk and fairy tales, most of which have been accepted for on-line or print publication.
