Isabel Galvan is a Lupus and CKD (chronic kidney disease) warrior. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Orphaned at the age of 23, she took on the responsibility of taking care of her siblings and faced the reality of being her mother's next of kin. Forced to be the one to sign her mother off life support caused Isabel many years of depression and self isolation. Finally forgiving herself and doing some soul searching she found a need to help others do the same.
Isabel prides herself on being a mother and dog mom. She's been writing since she was a teenager. Winning awards in middle school for literature, her dream as a child was always to be a writer, hoping one day to write short stories and poetry columns for magazines and papers like the New York Times.
Although life threw curveballs her way. Isabel still writes occasionally to help inspire others, entertain her children, and tell her story of perseverance.
