Martin Foroz was born in Iran in 1964 and earned BA and MA in English Literature and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. He left Iran for Oman in 2014 and has been living there as an expatriate professor of English Language and Literature since then.
He has published three poetry collections as well as individual poems in different literary journals. Some of his micro poems and a verse drama titled "The Confessing Song of Mr. Head" are available on his YouTube page in the form of video poems. In Applied Linguistics, he has published papers, textbooks, and a reference book titled An Illustrative Dictionary of Semantics (ILLUDS). In addition to the above, has written a series of short stories in Farsi (Persian) that are published in Nebesht Magazine, and since they are in Farsi language, he signs them under his birth name Mohammad Forouzani.
