G. V. Silva was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He holds a bachelors and a masters degree in philosophy from the State University of Campinas and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the Technical University of Berlin. He is a freelance interpreter and a translator of German philosophical works into Portuguese (Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Walter Benjamin, among others). He is currently working on his debut sci-fi novel.
