Glimmer Train's Spring Short-Story Award for New Writers
This semi-annual short story contest is open to new writers only. This means that only writers whose fiction has not appeared in any publication with a circulation of over 5,000 are eligible to enter their stories, which should not exceed 12,000 words. Multiple submissions are allowed, but all entries need to be sent electronically.
First Prize: $1,200, publication in Glimmer Train Stories, and 20 copies of
that issue
Second Prize: $500
Third Prize: $300
