Of Sycophantic Peacemakers

By Ndaba Sibanda

Of Sycophantic Peacemakers

They are playing with the poor victims'
minds and emotions on a muddy turf

It's the perpetrators' hideous game
Of pretending, pushing and duping

Those they thrust into the chess chest
Are too sheepish and dollish to move

Because they are remoted to act
As if they are placid frogs and birds

That inflate their throats with lies
And chirp fooling songs of healing

And a very virgin reconciliation
A clear promotion of gimmickry!
