Hero Sandwiches That Save the Day

By Ryan Quinn Flanagan

Hero Sandwiches That Save the Day

Just look at silly philosophy in all that clown make-up
shooting water out of a cheap flower lapel to make the kiddies
give up the goods; is Mill still taught in the universities?
I like him better grinding grain or cutting marble with water,
that is something to behold, truly, you with your home runs and
hero sandwiches and guitar solos long and scraggly
as 19th century beards expecting the ravages of late-stage
syphilis; Gauguin had it, which meant that half of Polynesia had it
and to make anything a math is to ignore the person, numbers
are playthings when you are too old for dolls, no one wants this to get
weird, like that Bauhaus video when he has a single cube of sugar for his tea
then gives up on the whole entire enterprise and drops the bloody
thing to the floor -- ideas are math unproven which does not make them
wrong, say, the way mugging old ladies in the park is wrong;
I always liked Bergson because he wanted to laugh,
I want to laugh too: haven't we had enough of the other?
