Ugly Wolf Spider

By Ryan Quinn Flanagan

Ugly Wolf Spider

This ugly wolf spider just crawled
over the top of my pile of old tissues
and stared at me.

I couldn't see his fangs,
but I assume they were there.

Folding tissue over tissue
I squashed the ugly bugger and
flushed him down the toilet.

He's with all the alligators now.
And some of the sewage workers too.

We all kill so easily, don't we?
Him or me!
I tell myself.

It hasn't been me yet.
I must be doing something right.

I got a good dark humour laugh out of this one. That darn human nature.
