Sunset Haiku

By M.A.B. Wyman

Sunset Haiku

The evening gathers,
while sparrows and thrushes flit

lit by the sun’s final rays,
breaking the west sky.

Red cherry blossoms
swirl to the ground in the breeze,
rolling through the dusk.
