Too Much of Anything Is Not the Milky Way But Bad

The Greek myth has it that the goddess Hera sprayed
milk across the sky, and hence that giant assembly
of stars, dust and gas — the spiral galaxy — is called a …
Milky Way there, but Backbone of Night somewhere else.

There is the mourning, mooing of overmilked cows.
The famished farms in Gwanda are howling, lowing.
Cattle ranches with cows laden with greedy milking
units on their tired udders for longer than is required.

Tax collector, can’t you see that your merciless machine
is milking at full vacuum with low or no milk flow at all?
There is overmilking of cows on these furious, famished farms.
Countless cows moo: revive firms and other springs for revenue!

Taxman, why are these underfed cows being overmilked
as if someone has casomorphin addiction or milk addiction?
It boosts a feel good feeling but … please feel for the cows
whose pastures are not green but fallow and unmaintained.

Overmilking is draining our dairy herd on a daily basis.
Rethink, firm up firms and grow funds and duties, Zakayo.
Overmilking harms teat ends and weakens udder health.
The veterinarian says it puts cows at greater risk for infection.

Taxman, please cooperate with the veterinarian and the milker.
The vet has the welfare of cows at heart, yet the milkmaid is clear:
If this business is about breeding cows for their milk production,
how do we expect them to yield milk when they hardly graze?

Zakayo, our concerned veterinary manages health conditions
and lesions in non-human animals. Your wild actions wound cows!
Where does all that milk go? Who sprays it? Our Hera? Free advice:
overconsumption of diary can cause pains, nausea and diarrhea!
