Tears Strip Her

Her tears strip her
down to the nakedness
although I have seen
her in before cannot stare
at any longer. When I cannot
see I see more, and with
the layers peeled off,
understand the need of love,
desideratum of the doves in the sky,
of the soap's scent on one's skin.
Hours arrive, and days leave.
This feeling wanes and we argue,
sink in the bundle of garments.
