These tulips are growing on the grounds of the governor's mansion. Five minutes or so after I took this picture, and several others, a man's voice came over the intercom at the gate I had just passed. "There are no pictures today," he said. I was already walking away, and I turned my head and mumbled, "Bite me." There are no signs posted saying that photography is not allowed. There were no visible security personnel to ask me to cease and desist with the clicking of the camera. This is a step away from the stories I've heard of photographers getting harassed by police and security, which usually involve the photographer being asked to delete/destroy the pics or to hand over the camera.
(camera is a Canon PowerShot A40)
