I Did Not Take a Vow of Silence
The thrilling tricks
of tripling tongues
We ask for bread,
they give us stones
The telling theme
tickling the trance
of the teeming thieves
I speak now
in anointed tongues!
My Poetry is the depth
of the Nile!
If not anger, what then
sharpens my tongue?
I will have my words
become fists
Words become fists
Where silence alone
cannot break through
the wall of lies.
I did not take a vow
of silence.
My words and my fists
are one
