Love Street
Tower Block stands in a grand fashion
in the midst of fabulous tree-lined streets,
its administrative heart beats and beams
an architectural magnificence and care
in a city known for its rich heritage
and an excellent level of hygiene
The lovely park close to Tower Block
happens to be where love seems
to live large a lively life of chats
and fondles and mediations
Lovers of different colours and ages
can be found at any given time,
romances that cross class barriers
are no stranger to the viewers
If one were to write a story about them,
the story would have a recognizable plot
element and a theme of love in the air
The idea that repeatedly appears
is that of lovers, it gives additional
meaning to that street, it allows
onlookers to see the power of love
on the benches. It produces images
of love, of a lovers' happy haven
That street has become a trope,
its benches get used often enough
to be recognized as seats for lovers,
like a trope in superhero stories, the
bench occupants are 'villains' who want
to take over that park which is their world
