A Lone Island in the Midst of the Sea

A Lone Island in the Midst of the Sea

A lone island in the midst of the sea.
Only birds, trees and flowers, no humans for me.
Green foliage has covered me all over.
Coconut trees, palms and on the fringe clover.
Standing all alone in the midst of the vastness.
No strappings or fittings to me to harness.
The cerulean beautiful blue sky above.
The tall trees in their own treely way showering love.

A lone island in the midst of the sea.
No ship or boat anchors here to meet me.
I wake up listening to melodious bird songs.
I don't have to be hurt with human wrongs.
Standing alone with water all around.
Only the fluttering of leaves and no other sound.
I get rejuvenated when it rains.
I am far far away from human squabbles and pains.
