Satiated Souls
After days of dry spell
They like perched lands
Waited with their faces
Turned towards the sky
As if in a prayer ...
Then one evening clouds
Began to gather at the
Corner of the sky and
A storm rose, making
The hungry souls
Dance in a tizzy ...
That night it rained
Proving the weathermen
Wrong and the souls drank
To their hearts' content
And began to sing at
The dead of the night!
