I Am More Than My Body
My body is beauty
My skin is magical
I am a work of art
Perfection unlimited
I love every inch of me
What wouldn't I not?
It's what God created
But not all that God created
Beneath all beauty of this body
Lies something with more me
Under all this skin is my heart
My body is a reminder of everything beautiful
My heart carries everything ugly and beautiful
What you see is not what you get
I'm more than a just a sight to see
My body does not tell my story
My eyes, have cried many nights
Something my body won't portray
A secret carried by my heart
The many bruises and scars I carry
Will not be scribbled on my thighs
They are implanted deep in my heart
That part of me that makes up my soul
Appreciate my body but know my heart
That's where my life story is written
Knowing my body is not knowing me
Knowing my heart is knowing my soul
My body is beauty
My skin is magical
I am a work of art
Perfection unlimited
But I'm more than my body
