Self-Deluded Invincible Humanity

A report came in today from our beloved
BBC. It claimed Irish Air Systems were
Undertaking an investigation into a strange
Sighting spotted on Friday morning, an
Alleged UFO, alien storm-troopers from
Outer space or more likely just a group of
Beings who'd be aghast at our primitivism,
Our violence and the things that motivate us.

Of course it being on the beeb it had to
Tow the established line. An expert claimed
"It could have been a number of things"
Ignoring the idea that somewhere out there
Has to be another civilization and is it really
That much of a stretch to think they may be a bit
More developed than us. The experts bang on
That establishment drum, telling everyone that
"It would require technology beyond our grasp"
But who's to say there ain't a planet where
Everybody could be like Einstein and to them
It just comes a whole lot easier.

Our superiority is just self-deluded fantasy as we
Destroy this home, not caring about future
Generations or for our planet as we move on in
History convinced until that day when finally
They will come to visit.
