On Reading
As a kid I would pester
God to give me a life
where I could read
as much as I wished;
free of chores,
homework, scolding,
and whiny relatives.
I grew up
and all I have now
is books.
God to give me a life
where I could read
as much as I wished;
free of chores,
homework, scolding,
and whiny relatives.
I grew up
and all I have now
is books.
