Víctor Parra Avellaneda (Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico 1998). He has studied Biology at the CUCBA of the University of Guadalajara. He writes speculative fiction, especially science fiction and climate fiction.
He was a PECDA Nayarit 2018-2019 scholarship recipient in the short story category. First place in the Amado Nervo Short Story Contest (2020) and Honorable Mention in Páramo de Sueños (2020).
He has published his stories in Spanish-language magazines such as Axxón, Penumbria, Marabunta, Página Salmón, Sci:fdI (UCM), Zur (UFRO), Neotraba, Letras Insomes, Almiar and also in English-language magazines such as The Temz Review, Spelk, Telport Magazine.
Author of the book Más Beyond the Horizon (Ediciones del Olvido, 2022). Member of the Chilean Science Fiction and Fantasy Literature Association (ALCIFF), the International Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Authors (IASFA) and the Great Speculative Texts Collider. His interests are virology, epidemiology, speculative evolution and climate fiction, themes he often incorporates in his stories, set in western Mexico.
