L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future Contest
This contest is open to all writers of all types of science fiction, fantasy and horror with elements of fantasy included.
There is no entrance fee.
Writers are eligible if they have had no more than three short stories or one novel professionally published in any medium. Submissions cannot exceed 17,000 words and contain no excessive sex or violence.

This is a quarterly contest. The next deadline is December 31. Prizes to be awarded each quarter:
First prize: $1000
Second prize: $750
Third prize: $500
In addition, a grand prize will be awarded each year of $4000.
